The Original Dutch Pavior
Hans van Breugel was born at Sint-Michielsgestel to the north of Eindhoven where his family employ 140 people in their pavior - flagging - drainage company.
On leaving school in 1981 Hans served an apprenticeship with the company where he was taught every aspect of the business before qualifying as an all-round craftsman.
Technical college studies brought him qualifications in advanced pavior - flagging - drainage - joinery and engineering equal to British City and Guild Certificate standards.
In 1989 Hans came to the United Kingdom to gain further practical experience with British companies. He gained commercial know-how with studies at the University of Northumbria.
On moving to the North-East, Hans married a midwife from a local hospital. He and his wife Rachel, live at her home town, Whitley Bay, where his business is also located.
